Dr. Gilbert has worked as a private practice doctor, as well as a shelter medicine doctor over the past 10 years.  She has also had experience working with a variety of exotic animals from rabbits to hedgehogs to bearded dragons, and even Beluga Whales at Shedd Aquarium! Her medicine passions include Senior Life Care, Pain Management and Rehabilitation Medicine, and Preventative Medicine.

Dr. Gilbert attended undergraduate school at University of South Florida, and graduated Veterinary School at University of Illinois.

Dr. Gilbert recently relocated from San Antonio to Chicago with her husband, 3 children, and 2 cats and 3 dogs. Her hobbies include gardening, running races, traveling, and all things Disney World!
