Dr. Houle has been a lover of animals and science since she was young, so being a veterinarian is the best career she can imagine! She enjoys getting to know her patients and their families and tailoring therapy to promote the health of each pet. Dr. Houle’s professional interests include internal medicine, preventative care, pain management, and shelter medicine.
Originally from Upper Michigan, Dr. Houle earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Loyola University Chicago. She then attended the University of Illinois, where earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, and is currently completing a joint master’s degree in public health. Dr. Houle is Fear Free certified, and a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Houle is excited to be back in Chicago and lives near the lake with her grey tabby cat named Jade. In her free time, she loves reading, hiking, yoga, and trying new restaurants around the city.
